The Trustees of The New Castle Common is a non-profit organization incorporated in 1764 and reincorporated by the Delaware Assembly in 1792. Its purpose is to preserve and protect the historic Common lands for the use and benefit of the inhabitants of the town of New Castle. Income is derived primarily from property rentals and investments.

NOTICE OF ELECTION TO THE
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE NEW CASTLE COMMON
Due to the resignation of Trustee Henry F. Gambacorta, the Trustees of the New Castle Common will hold an election from January 25, 2021 to February 6, 2021 to fill the vacancy. Interested candidates may file up to 3:00 PM December 24, 2020. Call (302) 322-2809 for information. Qualifications are listed on trusteesncc.org/elections.

DATES: January 25, 2021 to February 6, 2021.
PLACE: Town Hall, 201 Delaware Street
Precautions will be taken in light of the corona virus. Masks are required. Bring proper identification showing your current address and your own pen (or, a pen will be provided).

Beginning on January 25, 2021, and ending on February 6, 2021 voting will be conducted at the Trustees’ office at 201 Delaware Street. The following schedule will be followed:

Voters need to be registered on the Trustees’ Voter List, and must have proper identification. Voter Registration will be available with documentation (Driver’s license and MSC bill). Due to the corona virus, voting be will done outside the office. A mask must be worn, covering your mouth and nose. One voter at a time. A distance of at least six feet will be required between all persons in the voting area. Follow all posted instructions.
Absentee ballots will be available by mail. Mail ballots must be notarized. Call (302) 322-2809 to request that a ballot package be mailed to you. Requests will be taken starting on January 5, 2021, and stopping at end of day on January 27, 2021. Mail in ballots must be returned to the office by 2 p.m. on February 5, 2021.
